Moto X XT1052 Official Android 4.4.4 KitKat 212.44.26 Rolling Out in United Kingdom
Moto X XT1052 United Kingdom variant is now upgradable to the official Android 4.4.4 KitKat OS with build version 212.44.26 which brings several improvements to the power profile, system stability, framework and security.

Motorola is officially seeding out the Android 4.4.4 KitKat firmware update for Moto X XT1052 model in United Kingdom via wireless update and delivers numerous enhancements for the smartphone. It includes the following changes according to the official post from Motorola:
1. Android 4.4.4 KitKat release which includes accuracy improvements to the power profile, several stability, framework and security fixes including update to OpenSSL.
2. Camera improved image quality including better consistency of exposure, more realistic flash colouring and improved photos in low light conditions using the front camera.
3. Camera video pause and resume button added to the camera app viewfinder.
4. Update phone dialler with a new graphical layout and colours to improve consistency and usability.
5. New Motorola Alert application sends periodic alerts with the user's location to selected contacts. It is downloadable from the Google Play Store.
How to Download and Install the Update
Users can use the wireless update process to download and install the official Android 4.4.4 KitKat firmware.
1. Make sure that the battery is at least 50 per cent and connected to Wi-Fi network.
2. Once connected to Wi-Fi, a notification message will prompt regarding the new firmware update.
3. Select "Download."
4. After the software download process, select "Install Now."
5. After the installation process, the Moto X smartphone will restart automatically which is a normal part of the update.
6. After the restart, check the firmware build version by going to "Settings > About Phone > Build version. It should note 212.44.26 build version on the display.
For users unable to receive the automatic update notification, go to the Settings menu then select "About Phone." Select "System Updates" then choose "Download" after the notification arrives. Select "Install" to begin the software update process.
