Reports claim that Motorola is planning to launch the Droid Turbo smartphone for Verizon to global markets under a new name Motorola Maxx. A source revealed that the device will debut in Sao Paulo, Brazil on Nov. 5, 2014.
Motorola Droid Turbo To Be Renamed As Motorola Maxx For Global Markets
Motorola Droid Turbo for Verizon Wireless has been reported to go global having a new name Motorola Maxx. According to a Portuguese website told by Android Advices, Motorola started to send out invitation in Brazil regarding a launching event in Sao Paulo on November 5 for Droid Turbo.
However, the site claims that some rumours are expecting Motorola to change Droid Turbo to Maxx for global release due to the registered trademark from Lucasfilm. Droid trademark is a registered trademark to Lucasfilm which has been licenced to Verizon Wireless and not Motorola for several Droid smartphones including Droid X.
Other than the possible global launch and change of device name, no other information has been announced regarding difference in hardware parts or available colour schemes. Currently, Motorola Droid Turbo is available at Verizon Wireless which costs $599.99 full retail price with 32 GB internal storage space.

Motorola's new Droid Turbo smartphone offers high-powered hardware components and premium materials such as 5.2 inches of QHD screen display with 565 ppi pixel density, a 21 MP rear camera with 4K video recording capability and dual LED flash, quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor and 3 GB of RAM. Its exterior is made up of either Premium Ballistic Nylon or Metallised Glass Fibre with Kevlar Fibre depending on the user's choice that provides reinforced durability.
Several software features have added as well by Motorola including Droid-based services, up to 48 hours of battery life and turbo charging technology using the Motorola Turbo Charger. It also features the sharing app called Droid Zap for other Droids, Android devices and iPhone, voice and gesture commands and noise cancellation technology for voice calls.
