Motorola Nexus 6 has been found to feature an LED light hidden under the top speaker grill which can be activated using an app called Light Flow. Find out the steps on how to do it.

Motorola Nexus 6 LED Light For Notifications

It is unknown why Motorola disabled the LED light on the Google Nexus 6 smartphone but a member of the XDA Developer Forums discovered where it has been hiding at this time. XDA Junior Member JMUT discovered the hidden LED light of Motorola Nexus 6 located at the top speaker grill and posted an image with it lighting up.

JMUT managed to enable the inactive LED light but has no idea on how it happened or if caused by a glitch. JMUT emailed the Light Flow's creator Android P Moore for further assistance on how to control the hidden LED light. Android Authority caught the exclusive steps on how Light Flow app will work on the LED light of Motorola Nexus 6 smartphone.

Warning: We are not responsible for any damages which may occur on the Motorola Nexus 6. Root access is required in order to make the LED light pulsates on the device. Do this at your own risk.

Assuming that the Motorola Nexus 6 smartphone has root access, users will have to choose the root mode, run every command as root and direct mode. Also, make sure that "su"/superuser has access granted for all requests.

Now, go to the Light Flow application then proceed to the notification settings where the "mixer" option is available. Enable it and set the colour of the LED such as red, green and blue and its brightness level. Brightness level has the minimum of zero which is off and maximum of 255. Upon activation, the LED should pulsate (not flash) when receiving notifications supported by the Light Flow app such as:

- Missed calls

- Voice mail

- Calendar reminders

- Gmail

- Email

- SMS

- MMS

- Low battery

- No signal

- Google talk

- Facebook

- Twitter
