Gal Gadot took Hollywood by storm when she was given a part in the "Fast and the Furious" and recently as Wonder Woman in the "Man of Steel" sequel. But this time, Odeya Rush is the next Israeli sensation.

The 16-year-old actress is the new force to be reckoned with as she slowly makes her mark in the industry with an upcoming sci-fi flick, "The Giver."

Directed by Philip Noyce, the film is about a utopian society where emotions, pain and strife are not possible by making everyone exactly the same. The people from this place don't see color and suffering is not even in their vocabulary. This is an attempt to create a society that is free from pain and war.

The young actress will star alongside Academy Award winner Meryl Streep, Jeff Bridges, Katie Holmes and Taylor Swift. She is currently in South Africa, Cape Town, where she is filming the movie. Rush plays Fiona, the female lead in the movie which is an adaptation of the book, "The Giver" by Lois Lowry.

Rush may be young but she knows how to navigate the crazy world of showbusiness when she laid out the three things that she is not willing to do to be famous. She is not signing up for action movies only based on physical stunts, no sexy roles and no regular roles in a television series that will keep her for a long time.

Born in Haifa, Rush is the first daughter after two sons and after her she have two sets of twin brothers, which make her the only girl with six brothers. Her family moved to the U.S. when she was nine when her father took a consulting job in Alabama.

Since she was required to speak a perfect American accent, Rush has been practicing hard now to speak fluent English than Hebrew. In her young age, she managed to be assertive and serious about her career, and thought very carefully about every word that could implicate her professional career.

She was casted in May 2012 as Mary in "Mary, Mother of the Christ," the prequel to "The Passion of the Christ." More than a year after, "The Weinstein Company" announced that she will be playing Fiona in "The Giver" based on a hit novel of the same title in 1993.
