Movies to watch for in 2017: Hollywood movies 2017 calendar with cast and release dates
This year, some of the most highly anticipated movies are slated to release, making 2017 more awesome than what has been speculated of it. The list is in continuation to the previous article titled “List of upcoming Hollywood movies 2017: Vol. 1”
'The Lego Batman Movie' — March 30, 2017 (Feb. 9, USA)
From the makers of "The Lego Movie," the 2017 Lego superhero edition entails the story of Batman’s perpetual combat against crime in Gotham City. The villainous Joker takes over Gotham, and if Batman wants to save it, he may need to drop the lone vigilante thing this time, and maybe, lighten up a bit?
Voice: Will Arnett (Batman), Jenny Slate (Harley Quinn), Ralph Fiennes (Alfred Pennyworth) and Zach Galifianakis (The Joker).
'Rings' — Feb 23, 2017 (Feb. 3, USA)
A new chapter in the popular "Ring" horror franchise. "Rings" (2017) is about a young woman who tries to sacrifice herself in an attempt to save her boyfriend who had watched the videotape, which kills the watcher seven days after viewing it.
Cast: Vincent D'Onofrio (Burke), Laura Wiggins (Faith), Aimee Teegarden (Skye) and Johnny Galecki (Gabriel).
'Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales' — May 26, 2017 (May 26, USA)
In the all-new pirate saga slated to release late spring, Capt Jack Sparrow’s terrifying old nemesis Capt Salazar escapes from the Devil’s Triangle to kill nearly every single pirate at sea. Will Jack be able to find the only artefact that would render him immune to Salazar’s wrath?
Cast: Johnny Depp (Capt Jack Sparrow), Stephen Graham (Scrum), Orlando Bloom (Will Turner) and Javier Bardem (Capt Salazar).
'Beauty and the Beast' — March 23, 2017 (March 17, USA)
The classic “Beauty and the Beast” is a tale from our bedtime stories. A beautiful young woman is taken prisoner by a beast in its castle. Belle eventually befriends the enchanted staff in the castle and gradually recognises the kind heart and soul of the true prince that hides inside the beast.
Cast: Emma Watson (Belle), Dan Stevens (Beast) and Luke Evans (Gaston).
'Baywatch' — May 11, 2017 (May 26, USA)
A criminal plot threatens the future of the bay lifeguard Mitch Buchannon (Dwayne Johnson) is looking after. Will he be able to safeguard the bay against the conspiracy? A new recruit (Zac Efron) joins the lifeguard in his endeavours.
Cast: Dwayne Johnson (Mitch Buchannon), Zac Efron (Matt Brody), Priyanka Chopra (Victoria Leeds) and Kelly Rohrbach (CJ Parker).
There are umpteen more movies releasing this year. “King Arthur: Legend of the Sword,” “The Fate of the Furious”, “Power Rangers” and “The Space Between Us” are some of the other movies releasing in 2017 that should be watched out for.
