The much awaited MTV Video Music Awards takes place today at Brooklyn, New York. Performances from Ariana Grande and Austin Mahone are just a few fans are looking forwards to. "Divergent" fans will also get a sneak peak of the film adaptations' trailer. The night has already begun with a few celebrities taking on the red carpet.

Apart from Austin and Ariana taking the stage for the night, Lady Gaga and Justin Bieber are just a few anticipated performers. With the night having just begun, fans are waiting for the red carpet arrivals of their idols. In fact, a few stars have already arrived.

Ariana Grande and Austin Mahone were among the first few cuties to walk the red carpet. Mahone rocked the all black ensemble paired off with Saint Laurent Paris kicks while "Sam & Cat's" Ariana Grande wore a floral frock by Kenley Collins which she paired off with white pumps.

"Roar" singer Katy Perry was also punctual for the red carpet. Perry wore a long sleeved Leopard print dress featuring gold embellishments and thigh-high slit by Ungaro. Katy paired off the look with gold and black Celine shoes plus Anita Ko earrings.

Girl group, NERVO, rocked the mermaid gowns while Snookie of "Jersey Shore" wowed the crowd with her halter neck dress and Jeffery Campbell shoes. Another early comer, Coco Rocha, made it to the red carpet with her shockingly Auburn hair plus an all-black ensemble.
