Fans will get to see Wolfmother play for the last time at the end of this month. Vocalist Andrew Stockdale announces that he will be retiring the hard rock band's name after their gig at the Sidney Myer Music Bowl supporting Aerosmith on April 28.

Stockdale, the only original member of Wolfmother, confirms that after 13 years in the industry, the group will disband. It isn't the end for him, though.

He will be releasing his debut solo single "Long Way to Go" two days before the band's last show. He will also release "Keep Moving,", his debut studio album, in June.

"It's about when people pigeonhole you, and categorise you," he told The Music Network, referring to his debut single.

"It's not up to anyone else to tell you the way your dreams can be fulfilled. It's up to you to follow your heart and try and make things happen. Whatever someone thinks you can or can't do, it's not up to them. It's up to the individual. And if someone thinks they've got me all worked out, well, hey, I've got a long way to go."

"Keep Moving" was originally planned to be released as the third studio album of the band.

The remaining members, Ian Peres, Elliott Hammond, Vin Steele, and Hamish Rosser, will continue to support and play beside their bandmate as a solo artist, according to the music Web site.

Wolfmother won a Grammy Award in 2007 as the Best Hard Rock Performance for "Woman." They also won 3 trophies at the ARIA Music Awards in 2006 for Best Breakthrough Album, Best Rock Album, and Best Group.
