"Game of Thrones" Season 3 is set to air via HBO in March 2013, but fans could hardly wait. HBO on Sunday teased its millions of viewers with a "first look" video clip on the production of GOT Season 3.

"This is the season that Dan [fellow TV series developer Daniel B. Weiss] and I have been anticipating from the very beginning," says GOT writer/director David Benioff.

"If we could do Season 3 right, then it would be all worthwhile," Weiss comments, adding, "There's just a constant influx of new characters and new locations... It's impossible not to be excited by that stuff."

Richard Madden (Robb Stark), Peter Dinklage (Tyrion Lannister), Maisie Williams (Arya Stark) anbd Emilia Clarke (Daenerys Targaryen) all appear in the footage to tease fans on the upcoming epic season.

"It's always fun and exciting to come back, to see what else they've created," says Dinklage.

Amid evil plots and schemes, Tyrion Lannister appears to have hit rock bottom in the last season's finale. This, despite his being the true hero of the Lannisters' Blackwater victory. But love seems to stay by Tyrion's side. Does this love stay strong through Season 3?

HBO's Game of Thrones is an adaptation of "A Song of Ice and Fire," a book series by George R. R. Martin. Those who want to catch up still have ample time before HBO serves the much-anticipated third season of the TV series.

"This season, we introduce a handful of new locations... The expectations are very high for Season 3. I think we fulfilled them," says executive producer Frank Doelger.

"The game's been upped. There's so much more danger. There's so much more risk," Clarke sums up.

All right, fans are thrilled. The countdown to March 31, 2013 begins.
