After a disastrous night on “My Kitchen Rules” on Tuesday, Western Australian pair Kat Donald-Hill and Andre Pagano decided to upgrade their “engaged” status to “married.” The vibrant party hosts revealed that they have already tied the knot in January.

The Perth lovebirds confirmed to OK magazine that the two made it official and got married. They met through Andre’s friends, and became best friends first. They were even each other’s wingman/woman, trying to find one another a partner. They soon realised that they didn’t have to look for others for love; it was already staring at them in the face.

“We’ve been together for four or five years,” Kat told the magazine, with Andre adding that they got engaged before his bubbly girlfriend’s 30th birthday. “I bullied him into it!” Kat laughed.

They would want to honeymoon in Rome and New York later in 2015, and would like to have two kids. One would have a very common name.

“I like the name Kid, everyone would love someone with a kid called Kid. Or Rocky. Andre likes Matilda,” Kat mused about baby names.

Although Tuesday’s episode put them in last place in the show so far, they still hope to take home the MKR crown. “We’re in it to win it. We’ll give out zeroes if we have to,” she said.

Kat and Andre’s Instant Restaurant, which they named “Fin and Tonic,” initially impressed their guests with its seaside motif. However, they overestimated their ingredients earlier in the day, causing them to scrimp on the serving sizes of their dishes later on. As judge Manu Feildel told them at the end of the dinner, they were consistent with their meagre serving portions throughout the meal. They also made their guests “hangry” – a portmanteau of hungry and angry – with their slow serving time. They took their time in the kitchen, serving the main dish over two hours after the entrée.
