A teller of the National Australia Bank at the Gateway Business Centre in Booragoon outwitted a would-be bank robber on Friday.

When the man, described as fair skinned, between 20 and 30 years old and standing between 175 and 190 centimetres, gave the teller a note demanding cash, the bank employee told him to wait and then went to speak to a supervisor.

The bank robber panicked and immediately left the bank without getting any cash. He ran away from the area.

To help identify the man who was captured on CCTV of the bank, Australian dailies published the photo of the man. The police asked people who have any information on the man to contact Crime Stoppers at 1800 333 000.
