'Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4' DLC 'Road to Boruto' release date confirmed; Playable version at 2016 Tokyo Game Show
“Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4” DLC has been confirmed by a Japanese manga magazine. The DLC is reportedly about Naruto’s son. Also, the upcoming “Road to Boruto” update will be sold as a standalone copy like “Full Burst” from the previous game.
Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine confirmed the “Road to Boruto” “Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4” DLC. The report was translated by SaiyanIsland. It will be released on Feb. 2, 2017 although the English version is not yet complete. As Bandai Namco is focusing on localising the update at the moment, the English version of the DLC may come a bit later.
It has been revealed that CyberConnect2 is working on the “Road to Boruto” “Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4” DLC version. A new adventure mode scenario with Boruto as the controllable character has been confirmed and it will have an additional story mode battle between Adult Sasuke Uchiha vs Kinshiki Otsutsuki.
It will be playable at the 2016 Tokyo Game Show beginning Sept. 15 in Japan. The first print editions of the “Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4” DLC will include “Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4” “Road to Boruto” and “Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4” soundtrack and also a reversible case jacket.
Release dates for North America, Europe and other countries have not been announced yet. However, the PC/Steam version of “Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4” DLC recently received updates and it is known that it’s in the works. For the upcoming update, “Boruto: Naruto the Movie” and “The Last: Naruto the Movie” were teased and character additions can be expected.
It is also likely that “Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4” DLC will follow a story scenario mode featuring plots of both movies. Momoshiki Otsutsuki and Toneri Otsutsuki, major antagonists of “The Last: Naruto the Movie” may be major playable characters in the DLC, writes The Bitbag.
Due to lack of material, “Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4” DLC could be the last DLC unless the Boruto spinoff manga kicks off really well.
