Beyonce, who has been known as one highly compassionate singer, has angered her fans and astronauts too with the latest music video of her song "XO" where she used the audio footage from a radio broadcast moments after the ill-fated space shuttle Challenger exploded killing all on board. Beyonce's decision to mention the footage in the video has been deemed "inappropriate to the extreme" and "insensitive" by the families and colleagues of the NASA crew members who died in the disaster.
Some of the members of the family have also demanded that the pop diva takes down the clip from the music video of the song "XO." So what exactly is the content of the audio.

"Flight controllers here looking very carefully at the situation. Obviously a malfunction," says the NASA public affairs officer Steve Nesbitt in the clip, which dates back to January 28, 1986. Officer Nesbitt has now retired from NASA but his comments were broadcast live when the world watched the wreckage of Challenger fall from the sky after exploding 73 seconds into its journey.
Beyonce used the same voice and words almost twenty-seven year later when the song "XO" - which is about a troubled relationship. Twitter and Facebook demanded apology from the singer and Queen Bey did so but she has no intentions to take down the clip from the music video as Beyonce used it on purpose. The "Single Ladies" singer used the Challenger clip to "heal" the wounds.

"My heart goes out to the families of those lost in the Challenger disaster," said the statement released by Beyonce. "The song 'XO' was recorded with the sincerest intention to help heal those who have lost loved ones and to remind us that unexpected things happen, so love and appreciate every minute that you have with those who mean the most to you.

"The songwriters included the audio in tribute to the unselfish work of the Challenger crew with hope that they will never be forgotten."

However, Beyonce's apology has not helped those involved in the accident. June Scobee Rodgers, the widow of Challenger commander Dick Scobee, and a founder of the Challenger Center for Space Science Education, told ABC News she was not happy.

"We were disappointed to learn that an audio clip from the day we lost our heroic Challenger crew was used in the song 'XO,'" she said.

"The moment included in this song is an emotionally difficult one for the Challenger families, colleagues and friends. We have always chosen to focus not on how our loved ones were lost, but rather on how they lived and how their legacy lives on today," Rodgers added.

Do you think Queen Bey should take this as a hint and admit she has committed a mistake by using this clip? Should she remove the clip and show the world that she truly cares for other people's happiness and if she hurt anyone's emotions unintentionally, she is ready to amend her mistakes? What are your views.
