NASA Tracks Supertyphoon Haiyan, Discovers A Weird Asteroid And Iguana In Space
The arrival of supertyphoon Haiyan in the Philippines have enjoined many countries around the world to unite in prayer for the safety of the Asian country, including NASA.
According to Yahoo News, NASA's Aqua satellite has been observing the movement of the terrible storm that pounded on the Philippines. The last photo the satellite snapped was Nov. 7, 11:25 p.m. which showed thunderstorms surrounding the storm's eye. The infrared data that the U.S. space agency has gathered unravelled a very distinct eye with rings made up of thunderstorms, as stated by Rob Gutro, NASA spokesman.
NASA officials added it is compared similar to a hurricane at Category 5. Gutro further wrote that such a level of storm or hurricane can lead to "catastrophic damage."

Supertyphoon Haiyan is predicted to head straight to Vietnam after passing to the Philippines.
NASA's Other News: Weird Asteroid and Iguana in Mars
With the help of the NASA Hubble Space telescope, an odd-looking asteroid with dust set in comet looking tails was seen in space. It made everyone stay puzzled with its light beams appearing like sprinklers in space. The asteroid will continue to be observed closely by a team led by David Jewitt from the University of California at Los Angeles.
Another weird image captured by NASA is a rock that shows the resemblance to an iguana in Mars. FoxNews said this is not the first time that the NASA Mars Rover discovered an animal-shaped rock for it previously saw a rat-shaped rock during the early part of this year.
All of these prove how much NASA can be helpful in discovering amazing things beyond planet Earth and what's out there in space. Hence, it has been good news since the time that they were once again active in the social media world after the recent government shutdown.
