Natalie Cole is up and about after three years of absence because of health issues she had to deal with.

The daughter of the famouse crooner Nat King Cole was at the Adelaide Cabaret Festival on Saturday where she had a show that was described as all class for the capacity crowd.

Cole is in Australia only for a short visit and was scheduled to perform only in Adelaide.

However, she said she is looking forward to go back to the country soon and maybe include Melbourne in a tour.

"I was in Melbourne several years ago and I loved it. It was a wonderful city," she said.

Cole suffered a kidney failure in 2008 and just last year, she underwent a kidney transplant. Now, she looks really healthy as she belted out during her performance on some band numbers as well as love songs, including her signature hit "Unforgettable".

The singer is headed for China today and is bringing with her some of Tara Moss's novels.

Cole had a chat with Moss, who was a model before she became a crime writer, after Saturday night's show.

When Moss learned that Cole loved a good thriller and was keen to getting some of her books, she quickly had some signed copies delivered to the singer yesterday.
