NBA Betting: Denver Nuggets vs. Portland Trail Blazers Preview
This is not the best time to visit the Moda Center in Portland. The Trail Blazers are coming off disappointing results in their last two games and are pegged to respond big time when they host the Denver Nuggets, which are hoping to avoid a three-game losing skid.
The Blazers lost to the Houston Rockets via a 126-113 blowout last Monday and then lost a late lead against the Oklahoma City Thunder to suffer a 105-97 defeat on the second game of a back-to-back.
Meanwhile, the Nuggets are on a slide as well in losing to the Cleveland Cavaliers, 117-109 and Phoenix Suns, 117-103 in their last two games. Denver allowed the Cavs to shoot 47.7 per cent from the field and the Suns 50.1 per cent.
To have a chance versus Portland they must play some semblance of defense as the Blazers are the best scoring team in the league averaging 109.3 points per game.
The Blazers had to settle for a 2-2 road trip as LaMarcus Aldridge finished with 29 points but completely disappeared in crunchtime against the Thunder.
Denver has won three of the last four versus Portland.
