Croatian bigman Dario Saric expressed his intention to play right away in the NBA, if he's selected by the Los Angeles Lakers or the Boston Celtics, multiple sources reported on Thursday.

Saric, who is considered one of the most highly-touted big men in the draft, is said to be interested in becoming a member of either of the two most-decorated franchises in the NBA.

"Dario Saric, a sweet-shooting, 20-year-old Croatian point-forward, has yet to make up his mind on coming out for June's NBA Draft. If the Adriatic League MVP does come out in 2014, however, he wants to be picked by the Celtics or Lakers," according to the Boston.com on Thursday.

The 6-foot-10 Saric is being compared by most scouts to German and Dallas Mavericks gunslinger Dirk Nowitzki, as he's averaging 16.3 points and 9.5 rebounds for Croatian mother team Cibona Zagreb.

There were rumors before he entered his name in the draft about his plan to stay in Europe for few more years, but Saric quickly denied the reports and claimed it was just a black propaganda by his estranged agent.

Boston.com Blog called Saric an intriguing player because of his ability to shoot the ball well from deep and excellent court vision at the power forward/center position. However, the presence of Kelly Olynyk could only mean the Celtics are not much interested to draft a big man.

"The Celtics need big men. They also need offense. Saric is an intriguing case, a guy with huge upside who isn't without risk. This Draft Express profile will tell you much more about Saric than I can. He's currently slotted 9th in their mock draft, so he'd be ripe for the picking if the Celtics wanted to," via the Boston Blog.
