The San Antonio Spurs and Miami Heat are set to write the final chapter of their epic NBA finals series Thursday night at American Airlines Arena (9 p.m ET). After six action-packed games, the 2012-2013 NBA champion will finally be determined at the conclusion of one of the greatest championship battles of all time. One team will hoist the Larry O'Brien Trophy, while the other will experience the harsh reality of defeat.

The Spurs were 28 seconds away from capturing their fifth NBA title on Tuesday, all until everything went against them. Whether it was lapse on the defensive end or a complete lack of mental toughness, the Spurs had to blame no one but themselves in that game. As a result, they are now faced with a daunting task of beating the Heat in do-or-die game on their home floor.

On the other hand, the Heat enters tonight's ball game with their confidence at all-time high following their gutty performance game 6. Ray Allen, whose legend grew even bigger after hitting that clutch trey to send the game into overtime, will again assume a key role in the Game as the heat's star trio of LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh try to cancel out an expected big production from the Spurs' superstar trio.

But again, the experience and poise of the Spurs should not be disregarded. Tim Duncan, Tony Parker and Manu Ginobili have been through all kinds of adversity while playing in a Game 7 of a NBA championship series is not entirely new to them. In 2005, the Spurs pulled off that trick when they outlasted the Detroit Pistons in a finals series that went to the limit. Tonight, it won't be surprising, if the Spurs muster enough out of their tired and weary body to win it all on the road.

In Heat's case, the pressure is on for James to deliver the goods in what could be a defining moment of his career. The four-time MVP is expected to come up with another monster Game 7 output, but in the end, his chance of winning another NBA title ring solely depends on one guy: Wade. Wade, with all the injuries he's nursing right now, will be the player that needs to step up big for Miami. After all, he's the blood and soul of the Heat right from the start.

In a series mostly defined by back-and-forth blowouts and brilliant individual performance by each team's star, Game 7 of the 2013 NBA Finals is set to have a razor-sharp finish. It will be a battle of two heavyweight trading big blows, until the last man standing.

Whose dynasty will rise tonight? Will it be the ever dynamic Miami Heat or the fundamental San Antonio Spurs?

After one four-point game and four blowouts, Game 6 of the NBA Finals series between the Spurs and Heat could be an epic one. In a series filled with future Hall of Famers, a role player usually steps up to make a big difference down the line. Who could it be? Stay tune. Win or Go Home.
