EA Sports’ NBA Live franchise is on the comeback trail and the company has released the latest videogame trailer, the first with “actual game footage” that is surely to excite the fans further and add to the hype.

NBA Live was first released in 1995 as NBA Live 95 and dominated the basketball videogame landscape up until the 2K Series, developed by Visual Concepts, started challenging them for the crown starting in 2000.

By mid-to-late 2000, the 2K franchise started stealing the spotlight from NBA Live. And eventually, by 2010, the latter was forced out of the videogame rivalry after it stopped release in 2010. An NBA Live 2013 was to be released in Fall 2012 but was cancelled.

Apparently, EA Sports was willing to lose the battle-but not the war. The company announced that NBA Live 2014 will be released on November 19, 2013.

Different reactions from NBA Live fans were expectedly found on Twitter after the release of the latest NBA Live 2014 teaser.
