New York Knicks owner James Dolan is putting high expectation on his team this year, believing they have enough talents to win it all this year.

Dolan, Madison Square Garden chairman and Knicks owner, reportedly delivered an edict to Knicks coaching staff about his expectation for the franchise next season.

Knicks president Steve Mills explained that Dolan's letter only means he wants his team to compete for the title every year.

"In terms of an edict, we try to win every year," Mills said prior to the Knicks season opener against Milwaukee via New York Daily. "And our goal is to try to win a championship and try to be as competitive as we can possibly be."

Mills replaced Glen Grunwald to primary keep Carmelo Anthony in two beyond the 2013-14 season. Expectation is obviously high on the Knicks after acquiring Andrea Bargnani, Metta World Peace and keeping their core intact for another championship run.

"Any job like this is a high pressure job," Mills said. "But I'm very excited to be here. I feel very good about our team, we're out to try to win a championship this year and compete in this league. So you always feel pressure in this kind of environment but its good pressure."
