NBA News: John Wall Drops 29 Points as Wizards Blast Pistons
John Wall continued his strong play this season as he dropped 29 points and 7 dimes to power the Washington Wizards to a 106-99 win over the Detroit Pistons on Monday at the Place of Auburn Hills in Detroit, Michigan.
Wall, who averaged 20.2 points and 9.0 assists per game, provided the spark for the up-and-coming Wizards after trailing by double digits at halftime.
Trevor Ariza contributed 15 points and 11 rebounds with six steals while second-year swingman Bradley Beal delivered 13 points for the Wiz, who reached .500 at 14-14.
"It's big, and we know where we want to be," swingman Martell Webster said about his team reaching .500 after the game via ESPN. "At this point in the year, it's a time we've got to get rolling. When teams start to click, the offensive and defensive schemes start to be all muscle memory."
Greg Monroe (22 points and 10 rebounds) and Andre Drummond (16 points and 16 rebounds) had monster games for Detroit, but their effort was not enough to get them past the surging Wizards. The Pistons now dropped to 14-19 this season.
