NBA News: Los Angeles Clippers Owner Attempted To Rescind Three-Way Deal Involving JJ Reddick, Jared Dudley and Eric Bledsoe
Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling reportedly tried to rescind the three-way trade that sent Eric Bledsoe to the Phoenix Suns in exchange for marksmen JJ Reddick and Jared Dudley last summer.
Sterling, who is notoriously known for coming up with questionable decision since taking ownership of the Clippers, attempted to nullify the trade two days after it was announced to the public.
However, head coach Doc Rivers convinced the franchise's top honcho that the trade would help the Clips moving forward.
The Clippers coach believed Reddick (Milwaukee Bucks) and Dudley (Phoenix Suns) will help the team to stretch out opponents' defense and give them a potent scoring from the outside.
Reddick and his agent had a talk with Rivers whether or not his four-year, $27 million deal will be upheld - an event that put the new Clippers coach in huge embarrassment.
Fortunately, the trade pushed through but the dispute proved that Sterling remains unpredictable up to now.
"It never got to that," one source told Yahoo Sports, according to Real GM, "but it might have had Sterling not come around."
