NBA News: Quinn Snyder Emerges Favorite To Take Utah Jazz Coaching Job
Former Duke Blue Devils and Atlanta Hawks assistant Quinn Snyder is reportedly the top contender to become the next head coach of the Utah Jazz, a team insider reported on Friday.
Snyder, who served as an assistant to college basketball legend Mike Krzyzewski, could make his head coaching debut next season as the Jazz looks very much interested to hire his service.
"Snyder has emerged as a leading candidate to become the next head coach of the Utah Jazz, according to multiple sources," via Deseret News.
Aside from Snyder, the Jazz also interviewed Bulls assistant Adrian Griffin and Alvin Gentry. San Antonio Spurs assistant Jim Boylen is also in the mix for the job.
Team president Randy Rigby has kept his silence throughout the process, but he stressed that they are doing very hard to pick the best coach for the team.
"We're well into the project," Rigby said in the interview. "We're having some very good dialogue with some very good candidates. ... We're committed to really doing a thorough search on this and a deep search."
