Have you been caught over speeding by a speed camera or have you been stopped by a police officer?

Thomas Robinson, who plays for the Portland Trail Blazers in the NBA, has been cited for over speeding on Friday. Apparently, Robinson was driving his sports car Porsche 107 miles per hour on Interstate 5.

"A white 2013 Porsche Panamera was traveling at a high rate of speed on the freeway," wrote Sgt. Pete Simpson in an email. "The officer's Light Detection and Ranging (LIDAR) recorded the vehicle at 107 miles per hour in a 55-mile-per-hour zone," Sgt. Simpson added. Simpson works for the Portland Police Bureau.

According to Sgt. Simpson, Robinson was respectful and well-mannered when the incident happened. We thought that he would have taken a left, then a right, and then another left before driving in the opposite lane, or probably hide in a shrub for a minute or two, just like in a game of Grand Theft Auto. However, Robinson was cooperative.

Robinson paid fines amounting to $1,150 dollars. It is the fine required for such violation.

A couple of days later, Robinson tweeted his apology. "My apologies for that speeding ticket," Robinson posted. "I have to be more careful with watching the speed limit, and I promised that this will be my first and last one," he tweeted.

The basketball player, who currently plays forward, is not new to car trouble. In January, Robinson and his Porsche also got into a car mishap, but like the incident on Friday, no one was injured.

Robinson has to be careful when it comes to driving. You never know when major accidents will take place. He has to be vigilant and aware if he is driving too fast. He has to constantly look at his car's speedometer to ensure that he is driving just within the limit.

Robinson was traded to the Portland Trail Blazers in July. He used to play for the Sacramento Kings and Houston Rockets before moving to Portland.
