Beno Udrih is headed to Memphis while Caron Butler’s return to the Miami is almost set.

After being released by the New York Knicks, the Grizzlies are nabbing Udrih off waivers claiming the veteran before he hits free agency. The veteran point guard from Slovenia averaged 5.6 points and 3.5 assists in 31 games for the Knicks, before he was cut last Tuesday.

Udrih has spent 10 years in the NBA already with stints with the San Antonio Spurs, Sacramento Kings, Milwaukee Bucks and Orlando Magic.

Meanwhile, the Bucks are also set to waive a player in veteran Caron Butler, who’s earning $8M this season. He is expected to clear waivers by Friday and is pegged to re-join the Heat, the club which drafted him as the 10th overall pick in the 2002 NBA Draft.

Butler played two seasons in Miami before suiting up for the Los Angeles Lakers, Washington Wizards, Dallas Mavericks and Los Angeles Clippers. Butler averaged 11.0 points, 4.6 rebounds and 1.6 assists in 34 games for the Bucks this season.

Another player who was released by the Knicks is Metta World Peace, who was not claimed by any team. World Peace is now a free agent and can sign with any team.
