NBA Playoffs 2016 News: Oklahoma City Thunder takes Game 4; Golden State Warriors fight against elimination
Oklahoma City Thunder beat Golden State Warriors in Game 4 with a winning score of 118-94.
Thunder point guard Russell Westbrook led OKC to an exciting victory with 36 points, 11 assists and 11 rebounds. The other half of the dynamic duo, Kevin Durant, was the star defence for the Thunder while also making a record of 26 points and 11 rebounds, as reported by USA Today. Serge Ibaka brought home his own 15 points, which made the duo an unstoppable trio.
Though it wasn’t enough, the Warriors fought back with Klay Thompson, leading them with 26 points. According to Bleacher Report, MVP Stephen Curry played a bad game with a 6 of 20 shooting. They also struggled with Draymond Green, who was booed by the crowd because of a crotch kick foul he displayed in Game 3.
Oklahoma City Thunder is now leading 3-1 over defending champions Golden State Warriors in the Western Conference Finals.
In the fourth quarter, OKC Thunder took control and crushed down any possibilities of a comeback from the Warriors. GSW is now facing an almost impossible scenario: win Game 5. Only nine teams were able to recover from a 3-1 lead. While the Warriors have the capability and talent to be one of the nine, the Thunder showed more than enough intimidation in the previous games to establish that they will be fighting hard.
