The Oklahoma City Thunder took the first game of their Western Conference First Round series against the Memphis Grizzlies last Saturday. Kevin Durant, Russell Westbrook and the rest of the Thunder hope to duplicate the feat and get the 2-0 lead in the best-of-seven affair.

Zach Randolph and the rest of the Grizzlies made a game out of it by clamping down on the Thunder in the third quarter, but OKC weathered the storm to hold on to the easy 100-to-86 Game One victory. Memphis looks to perform better off the gates in Game Two after trailing 56-to-34 after the first half in the opener.

Durant finished with 33 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists while Westbrook added 23 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists for the Thunder, which held the Grizzlies to just 25 per cent shooting in the first half.

Randolph top-scored with 21 markers with 11 rebounds while Marc Gasol and Mike Conley finished with 16 points apiece for the Grizzlies, which held the Thunder to 13 points in the third quarter when they made their comeback.

OKC was favoured by 7.5 points in Game One and covered the spread comfortably.
