The Miami Heat look to avoid a rare three-game. Bad news for the Washington Wizards, which seems to be a better team on the road than at home as they host the LeBron James and company on Wednesday night.

Miami has lost to East rivals New York Knicks, 102-92, and Brooklyn Nets, 104-95, in their last two games. LeBron James dropped 32 and 26 points, respectively, but the Heat’s defense faltered in both outings. Dwyane Wade missed the Brooklyn game but is scheduled to comeback versus the Wizards. James averages 26.0 PPG, 6.5 RPG and 6.6 APG for the season.

Washington holds a 17-19 record this season. Curiously their road record (10-10) is better than their home record (7-9). Their last seven games have been no different: they are 0-4 at home and 3-0 on the road.

Six players scored in double figures for the Wizards in their last outing led by Nene Hilario, and John Wall topscored with 19 points each, while Trevor Ariza had 16 points and 9 rebounds. If the Wizards can bring the same energy and teamwork they put in on the road at home, they could give these Heat a run for their money.

The Heat have won four in a row versus the Wizards and have gone 3-1 ATS in that stretch.
