Bounce back from tough losses—that’s the mission for both the Portland Trail Blazers and Minnesota Timberwolves when they meet each other on Saturday night at the Target Center in Minneapolis.

The Trail Blazers are coming off a painful road loss to the Indiana Pacers in overtime, 118-113 while the Timberwolves lost a double-digit and the game, 98-91 versus the New Orleans Pelicans.

Portland led by three points late in regulation and looked as though they had the W in the bag but allowed Pacers point guard George Hill to hit the game-tying 3-pointer to force the extra period.

Damian Lillard exploded for 38 points (15/26 FGs) and had 11 but it all went for naught as the Pacers outscored his team, 15-10 in OT. LaMarcus Aldridge had 22 points and 9 rebounds for the Blazers, which have lost four of their last six games and are just 1-2 in a current four-game road trip.

Meanwhile, Minnesota had a 10-point lead late in the 3rd quarter in New Orleans but couldn’t protect the lead once again. The Pelicans outscored the Timberwolves, 37-20 in the final canto as Kevin Love’s double-double of 26 points and 19 rebounds were wasted in another loss—the T’Wolves fourth in five outings.

The Saturday night match-up will feature two of the league’s highest scoring teams. The Blazers are first at 107.8 points per game while the Timberwolves are third at 105.5 PPG.
