DeMar DeRozan won his scoring duel with James Harden 29-26 and the Toronto Raptors defeated the Houston Rockets 107-103 on Wednesday at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto.

Despite playing without starting point guard Kyle Lowry (sore right knee), the Raptors were able to beat the Rockets squad playing without starting center Dwight Howard (sprained left ankle). Reserve PG Greivis Vasquez continued his good play as he finished with 15 points and 8 assists. Jonas Valanciunas had 15 points and 6 rebounds while Terrence Ross had 14 points and 9 boards. John Salmons scored 12 markers off the bench for Toronto.

For the Rockets, Harden also added 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Houston also got some lift from Jeremy Lin (16 points and 7 assists), Chandler Parsons (20 points and 6 rebounds) and Omer Asik (9 points and 15 rebounds)
