When the Miami Heat lost to the Houston Rockets over a week ago, little did they know that it would be the start of their longest slump of the season.

Entering the rematch with the Rockets on Sunday, the Heat were trying to avoid losing six of their last seven games.

Miami, led by veteran shooter Ray Allen, did just enough in the fourth quarter to hack out the 114-103 victory at home. Dwyane Wade and LeBron James chipped in with 24 points apiece as the Heat remain in contention for the East's best record or even the league's if they can continue their recovery.
