Thanks to a loss by the Indiana Pacers and a 93-83 win over the Toronto Raptors, the Miami Heat now find themselves atop the Eastern Conference.

Led by LeBron James' 32 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists, Miami improved to 51-22 for the season as the Pacers, which lost to the San Antonio Spurs via a 103-77 blowout also on Monday, dropped to 52-23 and the 2nd seed. The team are pegged to meet in the East Finals and whoever comes out with the top seed will get the homecourt advantage in that series.

Playing without Dwyane Wade who missed the game because of a strained left hamstring, the Heat had ample support from Chris Bosh (18 points), Mario Chalmers (12 points and 4 assists) and Chris Andersen (13 points and 7 rebounds).

Greivis Vasquez (17 points), DeMar DeRozan (16 points, 7 rebounds and 2 stea ) and Jonas Valanciunas (14 points and 10 rebounds) led the Raptors, which remained as the 3rd seed in the conference despite the loss. Kyle Lowry had 11 points and 4 assists before leaving in the third quarter after a collision with James.
