The Philadelphia 76ers’ losing streak appears to be getting in the head of their prized rookie, Jahlil Okafor, who was reportedly involved in an altercation with a fan on Wednesday.

In a video posted by TMZ Sports on Thursday, Okafor was shown in a shouting match with another man before it became a full-blown fight that showed Okafor shoving the man to the ground and landing a few punches.

Another man involved was shown trying to restrain the 19-year-old centre but eventually threw a punch at the back of Okafor’s head. The incident reportedly happened outside the Storyville Boston nightclub.

Okafor and the 76ers lost to the Boston Celtics earlier in the day to suffer their 16th consecutive loss to start the 2015-2016 NBA Season.

According to the same TMZ report, the altercation was instigated when one of the men from the other group shouted; “The 76ers suck” and with Okafor’s group reacting to the hecklers. Okafor was reportedly trying to defend an unnamed friend and himself when the altercation began to get physical.

No arrests have been made after the incident and there are no reports if either side will sue the other. Currently, the 76ers' management also do not have an official comment about the Okafor incident.

The 76ers lost to the Celtics, 84-80 on Wednesday night (Thursday in Australia) as the hapless Philadelphia squad once again collapsed in the end game.

With nearly three minutes left in the game against the Celtics, Okafor made a three-point play to give the 76ers an 80-75 lead. Philadelphia had the same advantage with 1:36 left but the Celtics went on a 9-0 run to end the game and steal the victory from the 76ers.

Okafor, who was the No. 3 overall pick in the most recent NBA draft, had 19 points, 9 rebounds and 4 blocked shots in the loss to the Celtics.
