The Detroit Pistons acquired Brandon Jennings via sign-and-trade deal with the Milwaukee Bucks on Tuesday. The Bucks acquired third-year guard Brandon Knight and two other players while the Pistons got a border-line All-Star guard in Jennings.

Pistons President of Basketball Operations Joe Dumars finally ended the month-long speculation about Jennings playing in Motown. The Pistons acquired Jennings by sending Knight, Slava Kravtsov and Khris Middleton to the Bucks.

Jennings, who averaged 17.5 points and 6.5 assists last season, had no intention in returning to the Bucks after the point guard was reportedly slighted by the ballclub's move to present an offer sheet worth $32 million over four years to Jeff Teaque.

The Hawks matched the offer for Teague before the end of the three-day period, prompting the Bucks to revert their focus on Jennings. Unfortunately for the Bucks, Jennings was not anymore interested in playing another season in Milwaukee.

The Jennings trade was a win-win situation for both squads with the Pistons getting a player with All-Star potential while the Bucks having a young point guard capable of running the floor.

Drafted 8th overall in 2011 out of Kentucky, Knight averaged 13.1 points, 3,9 assists, and 3.2 rebounds in two seasons with the Pistons.
