In this section, we’ll be monitoring Andrew Bogut’s production for the entire 2013-14 NBA Season. Can he stay healthy for the entire 82-game grind? Will he improve on his numbers from last season?

The 28-year-old center from Australia missed 50 games last season because of various injuries and averaged a career-low 5.8 points per game in the regular season. His rebounding number was down too—only at 7.7 rebounds per game the lowest since his rookie season with the Milwaukee Bucks.

Without signs of any injury so far, Bogut has played and started all of the Golden State Warrior’s games in the first week of the new season and produced respectable numbers. It's not yet at the level of his career-high numbers with Milwaukee (15.9 PPG, 11.1 RPG and 2.6 BPG) but slowly and surely, he’s getting back to form.

Averages (5 games): 6.2 PPG (66.7 FG per cent), 6.4 RPG, 2.4 APG, 1.0 SPG, 2.0 BPG in 21.2 MPG

What is clear from these numbers are two things; first, the Warriors won’t rush Bogut back and give him major minutes (30-35) because of injury worries, plus the fact that they have a rather deep bench and big man rotation. Aside from Golden State's core four (Stephen Curry, David Lee, Stephen Curry and Andre Iguodala), no Warrior averages more than 22 minutes per game-- Bogut has the highest with 21.2.

Second, Bogut will never have the same role he had in Milwaukee when he was one of the main men on offense. In seven years with the Bucks, he averaged 10.4 field goal attempts per game. This year with the Warriors, those FG attempts dropped to 3.6 per game.

With lots of offense in Mark Jackson’s uptempo system, the Warriors will look to Bogut for his defense and rebounding first, and let the Curry and company lead the offense.

There will be nights when he gets to contribute (see stats vs. Clippers) depending on the match-up, but for most games, the Australian will anchor the team’s post defense and be the workhorse on the glass.
