In the wake of his firing from the USC football head coaching position, Lane Kiffin was not only thrown out of -- and under -- the bus; he's been getting flak from almost everyone associated with the program. Including, yes, the kids he had been trying to recruit to get to attend USC.

One of Kiffin's biggest recruits, Cordell Broadus, had this to say about Kiffin:

"I feel that he should have been fired a while ago," Broadus told 247Sports.com.

If the name Cordell Broadus does not sound familiar to many, it should be in a few years. After all, Broadus is one of the top ten wide receiver prospects for the class of 2015 and has received offers from USC, UCLA, LSU, Cal and Nebraska, among others. He is considered a four-star prospect by most recruiting agencies, including rivals. He received his scholarship offer from Kiffin in April.

And his father happens to be Calvin Broadus, formerly known as hip-hop artist Snoop Dogg, now known as Snoop Lion.

Snoop Lion isn't just an ordinary musician, though: He played high school football at the famed Long Beach Polytechnic High School program before joining the Rollin' 20 Crips gang as a teenager. He has since cleaned up after his 2012 conversion to Rastafarianism and is coaching his son's youth football and the John A. Rowland football teams.

While Snoop Lion himself is mum about his child's chances of signing a national letter of intent with USC, the kid is nothing but giddy.

"USC is going to raise the bar now because the new coaching staff next year and I'm anxious to see what they are going to look like," Cordell Broadus said. Another recruit, Joseph Wicker, agrees, saying that he was a "little happy" about Kiffin's firing from USC.

Kiffin was fired in a most unceremonious manner. He led -- some say mismanaged -- USC with a 28-15 record, including a 4-7 mark in the past 11 games. The USC Trojans are 3-2 in the 2013-14 season. Kiffin was let go early Sunday morning after letting Arizona win the previous night, 62-41. It was reported that Kiffin was met by USC's athletic director after the team's chartered plane landed in the airport and was not let back on the bus.

Supporters and alumni have been calling for Kiffin's head since USC ended the 2012-13 season at 7-6, a far cry from their preseason ranking of No. 1, so the firing was well-received. Interim head coach Ed Orgeron will try to salvage the Trojans' pride against Arizona on Oct 10.
