'NCIS Los Angeles' Season 7, episode 11 preview: Deeks, Kensi make Christmas plans with their moms [VIDEO]
Next week on “NCIS Los Angeles,” there won’t be a white Christmas, and in fact, the team might skip the festivities altogether. As suggested by the episode 11 title, “Cancel Christmas,” the season won’t be too jolly especially for a man who gets hit by a truck carrying Christmas trees. [Spoiler Alert!]
According to the synopsis shared by Cartermatt, the unfortunate victim of the Christmas tree accident is a man that is suspected to be a North Korean spy. Not only is he hit by the festive truck, he will also be poisoned in the episode. The “NCIS Los Angeles” team will investigate the incidents. They will also attempt to discover who is behind the infiltration of spies into the country.
Meanwhile, it is Christmas after all, and at least some members of the team are making plans to celebrate. Deeks (Eric Christian Olsen) and Kensi (Daniela Ruah) will be facing some difficulty in trying to include both of their mothers in their holiday plans. The season will also be an opportunity for the two of them to reassess their relationship.
In this week’s episode, Kensi found out that Deeks has been supporting a hooker that was involved in one of his cases from many years ago. She will likely want a better explanation now that the whole ordeal of Deek’s arrest is over. In the previous episode, Deeks also admitted to Hetty (Linda Hunt) that he was rightfully accused of shooting his former partner in the LAPD. He also spoke up about not wanting to keep it a secret from Kensi.
On a lighter note, the promo video for episode 11 shows a lot of Christmas spirit. Special agent G. Callum (Chris O'Donnell) can be seen decorating Sam Hanna’s (LL Cool J) car with a red nose reminiscent the reindeer Rudolph. Sam doesn’t seem too happy about it, but Nell Jones (Renee Felice Smith) blurts out, “Best Christmas ever!” Hetty also encourages Owen Granger (Miguel Ferrer) to indulge in the Christmas cheer and says, “Don’t be such a humbug!”
