"NCIS Los Angeles" Season 7 will air its first episode on Sept. 21 from 10:00-11:00 pm EST on the CBS Television Network. The Naval Criminal Investigative Service, or "NCIS" LA Team composed of Operations Manager Henrietta "Hetty" Lange (Linda Hunt), Supervisory Special Agent G. Callen (Chris O'Donnell), Senior Field Agent Sam Hanna (LL COOL J), “NCIS” Intelligence Analyst Nell Jones (Renée Felice Smith), NCIS” Special Agent Kensi Blye (Daniela Ruah), “NCIS” Assistant Director Owen Granger (Miguel Ferrer), Tech Operator Eric Beale (Barrett Foa) and LAPD Detective Marty Deeks (Eric Christian Olsen), must deal with Callen’s mysterious project which he chooses to tackle on his own.

Entertainment Weekly reports that in the premiere episode of "NCIS Los Angeles" Season 7, Callen deals with the aftermath of his discovery regarding his father’s death. He previously found out that his father didn’t really die on the date that he thought he did. Because of this, he decides to go on a secret mission without telling his “NCIS LA” team about it. Callen wants to dig deeper into the mystery to get some answers once and for all.

The Internet Movie Database, or IMDb reports that Sebastian Roché will appear as a guest star in this episode. He will portray the role of Lee Ashman. Roché was previously seen in the TV series 'The Originals” and “The Vampire Diaries” as Mikael Mikaelson, one of the original vampires in The CW shows, according to his IMDb profile. Roché also appeared in other TV shows including "Once Upon a Time" (King Stefan), "Royal Pains" (Guy Childs), "Scandal" (Dominic Bell), "General Hospital" (Jerry Jacks / James Craig / Jerry Jax), "Supernatural" (Balthazar) and "Grimm" (Edgar Waltz).

The events of the show’s Season 7 episode premiere come after the “NCIS LA” Season 6 finale titled "Chernoff, K.," which was about the team’s undercover mission in Moscow, Russia. It was connected to Arkady and a suspicious case involving an oil tanker and dead people. Callen also found out something important about his dad, which caused him to become more suspicious of what really happened before he passed away. Chernoff, K. aired in the U.S. on May 18, 2015.
