'NCIS: Los Angeles' season 8 episode 16 spoilers (Old Tricks): Con artist terrorizes a retirement home; Callen confronts his father

A con-artist goes full criminal when one resident of a retirement home gets kidnapped. In the meantime, Callen (Chris O'Donnell) gets firm with his dad who had been giving him a headache.
The happenings in the previous episode of “NCIS: Los Angeles” somehow hint that the series could either be temporary holding or completely stopping the plot about the mole. There is no clear indication that they will be revisiting this storyline on the next episode.

The official synopsis for this season 8 episode 16, titled “Old Tricks,” reveals that the NCIS team will take on a tricky kidnapping case. A resident in a home for the elderly has suddenly vanished while leaving several clues as to where he had been taken. As the agents go through the evidence , they discover that two con artists might have something to do with the disappearance. Edward O’Boyle (martine Mull) and his wife have been targeting older people to take their money. Also, Callen will confront his father over the latter’s participation in illegal activities and the danger that this places on their family.
The official YouTube promo shows that Deeks (Eric Christian Olsen) will get sent in to interview the elder ly in the retirement home. The residents do not trust him at first as an old man is seen pointing his cane at him. However, Deeks will eventually succeed in getting the other s to talk to him. The clip shows him pleasantly playing cards with some of the residents. Through this, the team tracks down the con-artists and see s how they are connected with the abduction.
While a ll these is happening, Callen gets frustrated with his own father. The teaser shows him tracking down Reznikov (Daniel J. Travanti). Callen knows about his old man’s illegal activities, and he is not pleased at all. He has done what he can to protect him, b ut it looks like he is not making an effort to change . Callen will confront Reznikov about crossing the line. It seems the Russian gets ready to fight . He has a gun and is prepared.
