“NCIS: Los Angeles” Season 8 is set to premiere on Oct. 2 (Sunday) on CBS. Fans should note this new broadcast schedule, which is only one of the changes that will happen next season. Kensi Blye (Daniela Ruah) and Marty Deeks (Eric Christian Olsen) are expected to take their relationship to the next level, and their fans would be pleased.

Will Kensi and Deeks have babies in NCIS LA Season 8?

NCIS LA show boss Scott Gemmill said months ago that a romantic proposal between Kensi and Deeks was something the writers have planned for the show’s eighth season. This has been confirmed at the Comic-Con. Gemmill also said this development is a treat to fans who have waited long enough. The executive producer also addressed the topic of kids. Will Kensi and Deeks have a baby soon after the proposal?

"Once [Kensi and Deeks] are officially engaged, then I think that conversation [about having kids] will come back again,” Gemmill told TV Guide in April.

In real life, Daniela Ruah is currently pregnant and due to give birth in just a couple of months. (Ruah is married to Eric Olsen’s older brother, David Paul Olsen.) Fans are wondering whether her real life pregnancy would play a part in “NCIS: Los Angeles” Season 8.

Director John Peter Kousakis, who directed the “NCIS: Los Angeles” Season 7 finale (“Talion”), is taking charge of the Season 8 premiere episode. Keeping the show’s avid fans updated, the director revealed that Kensi is starting the season in tough spot. See his tweet below:

Daniela’s fans already know that she is a brilliant actress. Still, a big shout-out from a respected director means something huge is happening to Kensi. If that is the case, Deeks is going to be in this ordeal with her.

The show’s Season 7 finale was focused on Sam Hanna (LL Cool J). The Season 8 premiere spotlight seems to be on Kensi and Deeks.

Some fans are also quick to guess that this life-altering twist might lead the way for Daniela to take some time off from filming, as she would take a break after giving birth.

At the Comic-Con, Eric Olsen told fans they can expect an extraordinary proposal. For her part, Daniela Ruah said the writers have come up with a great way to hide her real-life pregnancy.

Based on recent Twitter updates from “NCIS: Los Angeles” director John P. Kousakis, the cast and crew are now busy filming the third episode of Season 8.
