"NCIS" Season 11 finale is coming soon on CBS. Episode 22 ("Shooter"), this week's new episode, shows an emotional Leroy Jethro Gibbs (Mark Harmon) sympathizing with homeless veterans. Watch the sneak preview. This could be a strong build-up to the NCIS Season 11 finale.

NCIS Season 11 finale spoilers point to a Jackson Gibbs tribute. Showrunner Gary Glasberg has earlier told the media that the CBS series is honouring Ralph Waite in its season closer. But a week before the finale, Tony DiNozzo (Michael Weatherly) flies to Paris.

In this week's new episode, Leroy Jethro Gibbs (Mark Harmon) sympathises with homeless veterans. The CBS press release for NCIS 11x22 states Gibbs team will investigate a marine photographer's murder and his work on "military veterans who are homeless in the D.C. area."

Jackson Gibbs' "secret history" as a war veteran was explored in NCIS Season 11, Episode 7 ("Better Angels"). This is the actor's swan song on the long-standing crime drama. It seems fans of Ziva David (Cote de Pablo) will not see their Tiva ship in the NCIS Season 11 finale. Ralph Waite and his character Jackson, however, are much loved by the avid viewers of the series. Spoilers hint that Leroy will be torn between going to Stillwater for his father's funeral and solving a case.

NCIS Season 11 airs Tuesdays on CBS. The next new episode (11x23) is called "The Admiral's Daughter." The season finale and Ralph Waite tribute is titled, "Honor Thy Father."
