'NCIS' Season 11 aired no new episode this week. The CBS crime drama is on a 2-week hiatus. The viewers are wondering, among other things, what's next for McGee (Sean Murray), Delilah (Margo Harshman), and Parsa (Karan Oberoi). Episode 14, titled "Monsters and Men," airs Feb. 4. Meanwhile, showrunner Gary Glasberg talks about long distance communication between Tony (Michael Weatherly) and Ziva (Cote de Pablo).

Spoiler alert: This feature contains spoilers on previous episodes of NCIS Season 11.

In NCIS Season 11, Episode 13, Tony DiNozzo makes a casserole for McGee to comfort him in an intense situation. That is a major change in DiNozzo's disposition. He admits being "sensitive" has something to do with the counselling he's been receiving. Tony has joined a support group after he came home from Israel, where he left Ziva David.

Parsa's latest victim is DND intel champ, Delilah Fielding. McGee feels utterly guilty for failing to protect his girlfriend from the blast. In the final act of NCIS 11x13, McGee pleads for Leroy Gibbs (Mark Harmon) to sit with him at the hospital. No big explosive episode ending developed. But viewers can tell Parsa will soon have a big ending.

The "family dynamic" is somehow back to normal on NCIS despite the latest tragedy. New member Ellie Bishop (Emily Wickersham) is learning fast. She opens up to Dr Rachel Cranston (Wendy Makkena), saying she feels she has big shoes to fill.

Kate Todd's sister tells Bishop she knew the two women who sat behind the desk Bishop is using now. The best place for Bishop to grow is with McGee, DiNozzo, and Gibbs, the doc says.

Now Tiva shippers and other NCIS viewers are wondering why the writers are not showing any communication with Ziva David. Considering how things panned out for Tony and Ziva, it does not seem plausible that they're not talking anymore.

In an interview with TVLine.com, Gary Glasberg says he believes Tony and Ziva should be somehow having some long distance communication. But he says the manner by which they "talk" should look and feel natural instead of forced.

"If Tony's in a personal relationship or there's something significant happening for him and he wondered how she would respond, then maybe we can figure out a way (for them to talk)," Glasberg said.

Glasberg also explained why Delilah has to be paralyzed as a result of the latest Parsa bombing.

"The intent is to show a really smart individual take control of her life and rise up after all she's been through. We're excited about the arc that (Margo Harshman's Delilah) is going to face as someone in a wheelchair," the EP said.

The viewers are also excited to see what happens next to NCIS Season 11. However, fans have no choice but to be patient until the CBS show returns on Feb. 4.

NCIS Season 11, Episode 14 is expected to tackle the story of Delilah's paralysis and McGee's guilt. Parsa may have to be dealt with in succeeding episodes. As for Tiva shippers, Tony may or may not flirt some more with NSA Senior Intelligence Analyst Sofia Martinez (Alanna Ubach).
