'NCIS' Season 12, Episode 11 Spoilers: Jeri Ryan Debuts As Gibbs' Ex-Wife No. 2, New Heartache And Crosshairs In CBS Teasers
"NCIS" Season 12, Episode 11 ("Check") airs Tuesday, Jan. 6, on CBS. Jeri Ryan debuts as Gibbs' "ex-wife no. 2" in this week's new episode. A promo clip released by CBS teases three things about this 2015 opener: new year, new mystery, and new heartache.
Spoiler alert: This update contains NCIS Season 12 spoilers. Read at your own risk.
Leroy Jethro Gibbs (Mark Harmon) faces two of his ex-wives in NCIS Season 12, Episode 11. In one of the promo clips, the two women are shown at a crime scene. Diane (Melinda McGraw) and Rebecca (Jeri Ryan) apparently know each other, and this is new information to Gibbs himself.
Diane finds Gibbs and Rebecca cuddling in one of the comedic moments in this week's new episode. The two get defensive, with Rebecca saying, "This is not what it looks like." Jeri Ryan has posted a still photo of this scene on her Twitter page.
More from the NCIS Season 12, Episode 11 promo clip: Gibbs is seen in the crosshairs of the season's big villain, Sergei Michnev (Alex Veadov). Gibbs missed a chance to kill Michnev in the season premiere, and now a promo clip is suggesting the Russian enemy will cause Gibbs a "new heartache."
Michnev was in the same camp as Ari Haswari (Rudolf Martin), who was killed by his half-sister Ziva David (Cote de Pablo). Michnev's Haswari-David connection convinces some avid fans that Ziva could return in at least one NCIS Season 12 episode in a guest role.
Also in one of the promo clips: Tony DiNozzo (Michael Weatherly), Tim McGee (Sean Murray), and Ellie Bishop (Emily Wickersham) are both shocked and thrilled to have a "visual confirmation" of "ex-wife no. 2" in NCIS Season 12, Episode 11. Bishop even takes a souvenir snap of the drama.
Dr Mallard aka Ducky (David McCallum) seems particularly affected by one of the deaths in NCIS 12x11. The CBS teasers and the appearance of two ex-wives in one episode imply this week's new episode is one of the bigger ones this year.
On the lighter side of things, Gibbs has been told by a doctor that he should stay away from coffee/caffeine for 72 hours. Jimmy Palmer (Brian Dietzen) tells this to Gibbs' special agents in one of the NCIS Season 12, Episode 11 promo clips. They are all anxious about dealing with a caffeine-less Gibbs, but Palmer has a little too much to say about it.
