"NCIS" Season 12, Episode 4, titled "Choke Hold," airs Tuesday, Oct. 14, on CBS. Tony DiNozzo (Michael Weatherly) meets a "new agent" in this week's new episode. Fans are speculating this new character could be part of the Ziva David (Cote de Pablo) closure.

"Armed but feminine, sexy and single, cool and confident," is how Entertainment Weekly described FBI Special Agent Leia Pendergast, who will be portrayed by NCIS newcomer and "Melrose Place" alum, Stephanie Jacobsen. She emerges in NCIS Season 12, Episode 4.

Many Tiva (Tony and Ziva) fans on social networks are not very supportive of this development in NCIS Season 12. It seemed that Ziva David could return any moment (even as a guest) after the season's new big bad was introduced in the premiere episode. Then Leia comes along.

"A former U.S. Marshal-turned FBI Joint Terrorism Task Force leader, [Agent Leia Pendergast] is flirtatious and adventurous with a sense of humor. Leia is a straight shooter, brash when she needs to be. She isn't afraid to knock down doors or egos," the EW report continued.

"Does this mean Tony's finally moving on from Ziva (Cote de Pablo)?" Liz Raftery of TVGuide.com asked. Still, based on readers' reactions and TV forum sites, not all avid viewers of NCIS are Tiva supporters. Some are raring to see a new chemistry in NCIS Season 12, even as new character Ellie Bishop (Emily Wickersham) could use more support.

"The NCIS team is assigned to a joint terrorism task force by the Secretary of the Navy after a Naval research scientist is murdered and the chief suspect is wanted by the Russian government. Gibbs and DiNozzo run interference with task force leader Leia Pendergast," reads the NCIS 12x4 synopsis on TV.com.

NCIS show boss Gary Glasberg has earlier said the writers could "figure out a way" to show a Tony-Ziva catching up if "there's something significant happening for him." NCIS Season 12, Episode 4 could tell the viewers if Pendergast could be "significant" enough.
