‘NCIS’ Season 12 New Episode Brings Back Gibbs' Ex; Show Boss Says ‘We Think About’ Cote de Pablo’s Ziva David (Spoilers)

“NCIS” Season 12, Episode 13, titled “We Build, We Fight,” airs Tuesday, Feb. 3, on CBS. This week’s new episode brings back someone from Leroy Jethro Gibbs’ dating history. Meanwhile, showrunner Gary Glasberg talks about Cote de Pablo’s Ziva David in an interview.

Susanna Thompson’s Hollis Mann reunites with Mark Harmon’s Leroy Jethro Gibbs in “NCIS” Season 12, Episode 13. A murder case paves the way for the reunion, and there are currently no spoilers on whether the two would visit their romance.

Speaking to FOX411, NCIS show boss Gary Glasberg said Mann is back in NCIS “strictly on business.” Avid viewers would recall that one of Gibbs’ ex-wives is shot dead in Episode 11, “Check.” Mann expressing her sympathies is expected to come up in the episode.

The last time Mann spoke to Gibbs, she revealed she is married. In “NCIS” Season 12, Episode 13 spoiler photos released by Examiner, the former lovers appear to be discussing official business.

Thompson played Moira Queen, the mother of DC Comics hero Oliver Queen, in “Arrow,” a TV adaptation airing on The CW.

This week’s new “NCIS” episode was directed by Rocky Carroll, who also plays NCIS Director Leon Vance.

In the same FOX411 interview, Glasberg also spoke about Ziva David, played by Cote de Pablo. Fans of Ziva and Tony DiNozzo (Michael Weatherly) remain hopeful about seeing Ziva again in NCIS, even as Tony is now in a relationship with ATF Agent Zoë Keates (Marisol Nichols).

“We very intentionally didn't kill [Ziva David],” Glasberg was quoted as saying. Without discussing a timeline, he reiterated the showrunners are “open to the possibility” of having Ziva back.

This season’s biggest villain so far is Sergei Michnev (Alex Veadov). His friendship with Ari Haswari (Rudolf Martin) connects him to Ziva David. It remains to be seen whether Michnev would find out that Ziva, not Gibbs, was the one who killed Ari.

Cote de Pablo returns to CBS in March. She plays Shirah in “The Dovekeepers,” an adaptation produced by Roma Downey and Mark Burnett. The miniseries is based on the bestselling novel by Alice Hoffman. It will air Tuesdays, right after NCIS Season 12.
