Spoiler alert: This update contains “NCIS” Season 12 spoilers. Read on at your own risk.
The latest “NCIS” Season 12 episode (12x17: “The Artful Dodger”) centres on the DiNozzos – father and son. Prior to its Mar. 10 airing, the spotlight was mostly on Mark Harmon’s Leroy Jethro Gibbs. It’s Tim McGee’s turn in the next new episode (12x18: “Status Update”).
Delilah Fielding (guest star Margo Harshman) has been in Dubai-based for a while now. She and McGee (Sean Murray) has been keeping a long distance romance, sometimes to Tony DiNozzo’s (Michael Weatherly) amusement.
The next episode of “NCIS” Season 12 involves a terrorist group in Delilah’s tracks. It remains to be seen whether Delilah is leaving Dubai and coming back to Washington, D.C. The CBS episode synopsis for NCIS 12x18 says “McGee reunites with his girlfriend Delilah to investigate” the naval crime of the week.
Ellen Hollman is also in NCIS 12x18 as Special Agent Tina Larsen. Despite the DOD’s involvement, Gibbs’ former girlfriend at DOD (Susanna Thompson’s Hollis Mann) is not listed among the recurring characters of the week.
Meanwhile, on Twitter, Sean Murray responded to someone from the “NCIS” audience who wanted Delilah written out. The actor says Delilah is not going to be written out if he could take part in the decision-making process. The fan who wanted Delilah out is a “shipper” of the McGee-Abby romance.
So far in “NCIS” Season 12, there has been no hint that Abby Sciuto (Pauley Perrette) and McGee are getting back together. They each enjoy their respective dating lives, just like DiNozzo with ATF Agent Keates (Marisol Nichols).
Episode 18 of “NCIS” Season 12 was written by Christopher J. Waild and directed by Holly Dale.
