“I think I’m going to try and rattle people a bit,” “NCIS” showrunner Gary Glasberg told TVLine in teasing the “NCIS” Season 12 finale. Some viewers in TV forum sites connected this, as well as the finale episode synopsis, to DiNozzo (Michael Weatherly) saying “I have taught them well” in the latest episode. Some of the fans feared Weatherly might be leaving “NCIS.”
Weatherly, for his part, has spoken a year ago about staying up to “NCIS” Season 13 in a Deadline report. The actor, who has been playing Tony DiNozzo since Season 1, has one more year in his current deal with CBS Studios.
“Special Agent Ned Dorneget from NCIS cyber operations assists the team when an ensign who worked in the Office of Naval Intelligence is murdered,” reads the CBS synopsis of “NCIS” Season 12, episode 22. The synopsis also includes Jake (Jamie Bamber), another familiar face to “NCIS” viewers.
Titled “Troll,” “NCIS” Season 12, episode 22 will show the avid viewers that Jake and Gibbs (Mark Harmon) “have become good friends.” The viewers know that Jake helped Gibbs capture Sergei Michnev in episode 15. It remains to be seen how their friendship grew from that point on.
In the penultimate episode of this season, one of Gibbs’ agents will feel some “special connection” with a young man, TVLine reported. This boy is linked to a story arc about a terrorist group. Episode 23, titled “The Lost Boys,” will air on May 5.
The “NCIS” Season 12 finale is expected to air on May 12. IMDB reports the finale episode title is “Neverland.” To fans of Peter Pan, “The Lost Boys” (episode 22) connects directly to the finale. The IMDB synopsis says “an emotional and surprising loss” awaits the viewers.
