TV Guide reports that on Tuesday’s episode, “NCIS” ends the season by carrying on their search for an escaped British spy. The FBI and M16 are still involved in the massive pursuit for the spy, who is targeting current and former agents.
The sneak peek that “NCIS” posted for May 17 on its YouTube page indicates that the episode is a tearjerker. In the trailer, Gibbs describes DiNozzo to a tee: “Tony likes to hide behind the face of a clown, but he’s the best young agent I’ve ever known.” The preview video features clips of DiNozzo’s thrilling chases and death-defying actions, as well as his romantic moments with Ziva David (Cote de Pablo). DiNozzo is also seen bidding goodbye to his colleagues, including McGee, Abby and Gibbs.
Weatherly shared his journey with the show after 13 seasons in an interview with zap2it. “I’ve really enjoyed the whole ride on ‘NCIS,’ all the different styles that the show has undertaken over time and I really wanted to leave it up to that creative team to do what they wanted to do,” he said. “I had the most extraordinary time shooting this last episode and really felt so connected [to everyone] … maybe that has skewed the way I feel about the finale, but I think people are going to, if I can remove myself from it a little bit and just look objectively, I think it’s going to be overwhelmingly positive.”
“Family First” is directed by Tony Wharmby and written by Gary Glasberg and Scott Williams, according to the Internet Movie Database, or IMDb. William Duffy (Head of Security Harris Cobb) and Yorgos Karamihos (Interpol officer Kohl) will also appear on “NCIS” Season 13 episode 24.
