‘Neighbours’ spoilers for Feb. 15: Big decisions lead to more marriage woes for Sonya and Toadie; Terese grapples with a crisis
Ramsay Street faces quite an emotional day on the upcoming episode of “Neighbours.” On Wednesday, the rift between Jarrod “Toadie” Rebecchi (Ryan Moloney) and Sonya Rebecchi (Eve Morey) widens when they make crucial decisions about their respective “children” without the full consent of their partner.
Sonya wants to step up and help Mark Brennan (Scott McGregor) raise the baby, especially after Stephanie Scully (Carla Bonner) broke up with him. Toadie, on the other hand, hopes to be more involved in his alleged daughter’s life. Other “Neighbours” characters who will appear prominently on the Feb. 15 episode include Dee Bliss / Andrea Somers (Madeleine West), Paul Robinson (Stefan Dennis), Terese Willis (Rebekah Elmaloglou), Amy Williams (Zoe Cramond) and Leo Tanaka (Tim Kano).
“Neighbours” also stars Susan Kennedy (Jackie Woodburne), Karl Kennedy (Alan Fletcher), Brad Willis (Kip Gamblin), Lauren Turner (Kate Kendall), Piper Willis (Mavournee Hazel), Paige Smith (Olympia Valance), Jack Callahan (Andrew Morley), Tyler Brennan (Travis Burns), Ned (Ben Hall), Elly Conway (Jodi Anasta), Aaron Brennan (Matt Wilson), Sheila Canning (Colette Mann), Gary Canning (Damien Richardson), Ben Ian Kirk (Felix Mallard), Xanthe Canning (Lilly Van Der Meer) and David Tanaka (Takaya Honda).

“Neighbours” posted a sneak peek of Wednesday’s episode on its Facebook page. In the clip, Sonya confronts Toadie over his generous offer to help Dee and their daughter. Sonya wonders, “How could you do that without consulting me? Right after we said that we would wait to make a decision on this.”
Toadie defends himself, arguing that Sonya said it was on the table. “All I did was mention it to Dee. She’s got half of her scholarship. I think the least we could do is actually pay for the rest of it.” Sonya counters that it’s still going to cost a lot of money. “We’re probably going to have to re-mortgage the house,” she reckons. “I just feel like I’ve been rail-roaded into this.” Toadie asks in reply, “Like I’m being rail-roaded into raising someone else’s baby?”
Digital Spy reports that the Feb. 15 episode also centres on Terese, who volunteers Lassiters to be the new venue for the Pieces of Hollywood exhibition, following the whole mess at The Flame Tree. However, disaster strikes when a jewelled crown gets stolen.
“Neighbours” recap
On Tuesday, Steph can’t still wrap her head around the fact that she kissed Victoria. She came clean to Mark about it, leaving him dumbfounded. He was even more shattered when Steph returned the engagement ring to him and said it’s over between them. It wasn’t exactly the idea time to break up, considering it’s Valentine’s Day and Mark had prepared a romantic lunch for them.
After clearing out the lunch set-up, Mark went to the Rebecchis’ house to break the news to Sonya. She worried about how the baby would be raised now that Mark would be a single parent. He assured her that he’ll do his best to take care of the baby and Steph would also help out but not as a mum. Later, Sonya also met with Steph, who explained her side about the breakup and the surrogacy.
That afternoon, Sonya also told Toadie about it, and he became worried about what’s going to happen with the baby. He was crushed when Sonya said she’ll have to take a bigger role in the baby’s life. Toadie insisted that the baby is Mark’s, but Sonya argued it would be challenging for him to do it alone. While he felt defeated, Toadie chose to support Sonya’s decision. Later, Sonya shared with Mark her plans to help raise the baby and Mark was elated. He hugged Sonya in appreciation and Toadie walked by just in time to witness the warm moment between the two.
Feeling down and perhaps to somehow get back at Sonya, Toadie told Dee about his generous offer to cover Willow’s school fees. Earlier that day, Toadie told Sonya about Willow’s schooling, sharing that the teen got a partial scholarship at the university she wants to go to. Toadie wanted to help out and pay for the remaining amount. Sonya understood Toadie’s point but wasn’t too happy about it. She said they should weigh other options before making any big decisions.
