“Neighbours” recap
On Wednesday, Steph pushed Belinda away after a kiss. Belinda clearly misinterpreted Steph’s friendly efforts. Steph warned her to back off, or else there won’t even be a friendship. Meanwhile, Charlie was reeling from what he witnessed. Charlie felt like he needed to tell someone so he shared the information with Toadie. Toadie volunteered to talk to Steph. Later, he did just that and Steph admitted she hasn’t told Charlie about her past with Belinda.
Elly returned Tyler’s jacket and ended up hanging with Mark. She started flirting with Mark, but he set her straight and said he already got a girlfriend. Elly was surprised to learn that Mark’s dating Steph. Later, Steph went over to Mark’s, and she was forced to admit about Belinda’s kiss. Steph explained that Belinda misread the signals and the kiss took her by surprise. Mark was upset, but Steph asked for his help to explain what happened to Charlie.
At home, Steph revealed to Charlie that she had a relationship with Belinda. Steph also clarified that it was Belinda who kissed her and it won’t happen again. Charlie surprisingly took it well. Meanwhile, Toadie had the opportunity to talk with Belinda and sadly informed her that her application failed. She then received a message from Steph, asking to meet her. At Harold’s the two talked about what Charlie saw. Steph told Belinda that they can’t see each other again, even as friends. Belinda insisted that Steph still has feelings for her and that Mark doesn’t make her happy. As Belinda professed her love for Steph, Elly overheard their conversation.Later, Elly ran into Mark at the bar and told him about Steph and Belinda talking. She invited him for a drink but he declined.
Paige seemed to be feeling more charitable and decided to donate their leftover produce. At the hospital, she spotted Dustin and cleared the air with him. She clarified that Jack wasn’t angry with him, and she took full responsibility for what happened. She advised him to reach out to his friend. Later, Jack bumped into Dustin and the two were able to sort things out. Later, Jack seemed to be impressed with Paige’s volunteering efforts.
Karl was still keen on pushing his advocacy about installing bike lanes. However, he got quite mad to see negative publicity about his campaign. Aaron decided to do damage control. Later, Karl was seen painting a white lane on the street while Aaron was documenting it. Karl also said in the video that the Rebecchis are supporting his efforts. Sonya got wind of what the two were doing and lashed at Karl for using her name. Aaron tried to plead their case and begged for Sonya’s support so they could also get the community and the councilors to take their side. Sonya continued to hesitate and as she argued with Karl and Aaron, they heard a car run over their bikes, including Nell’s. The little girl was upset, and it seemed she’s on the verge of changing her mind about Karl’s campaign.
