“Neighbours” recap
On Tuesday, Angus explained why he’s in Elly’s room to Karl, Susan and Ben. Susan didn’t seem to buy his story and wanted to hear from Elly. The next day, Susan was surprised to hear that Angus has feelings for Elly. Karl and Susan continued to interrogate Angus, who let it slip that he hooked up with Piper before. At school, Susan confronted Elly about what happened. Susan worried that Elly might cross the line with Angus, but Elly insisted that it won’t happen to her.
Later, Piper lashed out at Elly for using Angus to make herself feel better and quite a few students and Susan heard their argument. Susan decided to put her foot down before things get worse – she reckoned it’s best if Elly and Angus live separately for the moment.
Meanwhile, Steph wanted to make love to Mark, but he begged off since he needed to abstain for the surrogacy procedure. Steph felt sidelined and that Mark is getting closer than ever with Sonya instead of her. Victoria told her that if she’s changed her mind about the whole thing, she had 72 hours to stop Sonya from going through it. Later, Steph made up her mind and delivered the terrible news to Mark: she doesn’t want to continue with the surrogacy. At home, Steph also told Sonya that she can’t do it anymore. Steph also made a request to Sonya – she needs to take the morning-after pill.
Elsewhere, Gary told Brooke that Karl’s thinking of cancelling his jewellry order with Brooke since the delivery is taking too long. Already facing pressure for money, Brooke made up a story that the customs slapped her with a $2,000-fee. Gary offered to help her out and promised he’d keep it from Xanthe. The two shared a passionate kiss and Terese saw them. Later, Brooke managed to convince Xanthe to go on a short trip and see Jess. Xanthe initially hesitated, but changed up her mind when Sheila and Gary supported Brooke’s plan.
